Reimagining Education for the Next Generation
Reimagining Education for the Next Generation
Explore our vision
Children cannot reach their full potential when the systems around them ignore how they truly learn and develop. Traditional school models often prioritize rigid timelines, limited movement, and environments that overlook the broader needs of a child.
At Luminaire Academy, we intentionally address the barriers that can interfere with focus, curiosity, and meaningful growth. By designing an environment that supports academic, physical, and emotional development together, children are given the opportunity to truly thrive.

"What Luminaire Academy is building is exactly what our families, and frankly, our entire community, have needed for years. The level of thought going into every aspect of this school, from the outdoor learning to integrated therapy access, is unmatched. I’m proud to support this movement and can’t wait to see the impact it makes on our kids’ futures."
At Luminaire Academy, we believe education should nurture the whole child — not just check boxes on a test. Our outdoor-based micro-school is designed to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of every learner through movement-rich days, USDA-organic meals that fuel focus, and a curriculum rooted in S.T.E.A.M., creativity, and Christian values. By honoring both neurodivergent and neurotypical learners in a 50/50 inclusive model, we create a learning environment where kids aren’t asked to fit the system — the system is built to fit them. This is school reimagined for real life, real kids, and real growth.
Luminaire Academy redefines school by feeding minds with movement, outdoor learning, and purpose-driven care for all children — not just some.

At Luminaire Academy, teachers shift from traditional roles like grading and writing lesson plans, to supporting students’ emotional and motivational needs and teaching life skills. This impactful transformation frees up teachers to mentor, motivate, and coach students to become self-driven learners.
Our curriculum partner gives students 1:1 personalized education, providing coursework at their individual pace and the appropriate level. Students progress with concept-based mastery and without any knowledge gaps. Our guides create hands-on curriculum that is tailored to where students are and by what the child is passionate about. Learning becomes fun again because we believe in both application as well as mastery.
We motivate kids by giving them the gift of time to pursue the things they're passionate about and develop life skills. Adults in the room support motivated students to foster a growth mindset and independent learning.
LET'S BREAK it DOWN
Jordan Sutlick, Founder of Luminaire Academy, is revolutionizing school environments.
Originally envisioned as a therapy-integrated outdoor school, the model evolved after Jordan saw how many families were struggling to bridge the gap between education and ongoing care. She went on to build an approach that unifies academics, therapy, and whole-child support in one environment, while addressing the financial barriers families face in accessing both.

Summer Program Now Enrolling!!
Luminaire’s Summer Program is where childhood gets to feel like summer again—barefoot mornings, water play under the sun, muddy hands, big laughs, and endless curiosity. Our days are filled with nature, movement, creativity, and hands-on exploration that invite kids to fully experience the world around them while building confidence, friendships, and independence along the way.
Behind all the fun is a thoughtfully designed environment that supports the whole child. Through sensory-rich play, simple learning moments, and real-life experiences, children grow in ways that feel natural—not forced. This isn’t just a place to spend the summer—it’s a place where kids get to be kids, and leave each day feeling proud, capable, and alive.

Transforming the Learning Environment
Luminaire Academy was built out of the exhaustion of watching so many children—especially those with IEPs—be mislabeled, misunderstood, and overlooked by a system that was never designed around how they actually learn. These are not broken children; they are capable, intelligent, and often gifted in ways the traditional classroom simply cannot recognize. When learning is confined to stillness, standardization, and limited sensory engagement, it’s no surprise so many fall through the cracks. Luminaire exists to challenge that narrative—creating an environment that honors how children truly learn, so they can be seen, supported, and empowered through a whole-child approach that nurtures their mind, body, and natural way of learning.
An education that meets their physical energy, curiosity, and learning style—through movement, nature, and engaging all five senses.
A system where your child's specialist therapy needs are fully met during the school day—no more choosing between support and a childhood.
Real-world, hands-on learning that builds confidence, critical thinking, and independence.
Whole-food nutrition that fuels their body and mind for true growth and development.
ENROLL NOW
More time at home to connect as a family—without the stress of juggling appointments, homework, and burnout.
At Luminaire, we don’t ask children to fit into a system—they learn in an environment built for them. Every part of the day is intentionally designed to support the whole child: how they move, how they think, how they process, and how they grow.

Both—while we are intentionally designed to support neurodivergent children, our model benefits all learners by focusing on whole-child development, real-world skills, and individualized growth.
We currently serve children ages 5–9, with plans to expand as we grow. If you're enrolling at 9, your child will be allowed to stay an additional 3 years. Due to our Secondary Education Campus being built in that time.
Students engage in focused academic learning, outdoor exploration, hands-on life skills, and integrated therapy sessions—all designed to support both learning and development without overwhelm.
We work alongside families and private therapists to ensure each child receives the support they need, while providing an environment that naturally reduces many of the challenges seen in traditional settings.
We partner with trusted private therapy providers who come on-site during the school day, allowing children to receive consistent, relationship-based care without missing out on learning or extracurriculars.
Yes—families may have access to scholarship opportunities, therapy-related financial support, and additional resources designed to help bridge the gap.
Our model is outdoor-first, meaning students spend significant time learning in nature, with access to covered and protected spaces to ensure comfort and safety in all seasons.
The best way to determine fit is through a conversation or tour—we’ll walk you through our approach, learn about your child, and help you decide if Luminaire aligns with your family’s needs.
